Commercial Keg Couplers

A keg coupler (sometimes refered to as a keg tapper) connects to the keg valve and both the CO2 & beer hoses run to the coupler. As you may or may not know, not all brands of beer use the same keg coupler system. There are around six main styles of keg couplers used for tapping kegs.

Maybe you drank all your homebrew or you are having a party and don’t want to share your good homemade brew with unappreciative party-go’ers or maybe you just have a favorite beer that you like to keep on tap, one of these commercial keg coupler systems will work for the type of beer you are shopping for.

Special thanks go out to our website sources for this article offering a wide range of prices on these keg couplers and a large wealth of kegging information. KegMan.net, Northern Brewer, MicroMatic & Kegworks. You may also download an MS Excel spreadsheet of all of the beer brands found below and their associated keg coupler system.

I have a tap system that's different than these. It's old and I'd like to identify them. This brass coupler has a dual probe like the HS but they are under an unthreaded aproximately 2" Dia. cap which has a handle/lever that swings and locks two notched side panels onto what I imagne must be some kind of pegs on the Keg reciever side and holds the cap down on the Keg. It's like the HS with a 'CO2 in' probe and a 'Beer out' probe but no threads; just a leaver handle and those notched side locks. Can you identify this for me? I live in Washington state and I think these were used on Rainier or Bud kegs long ago. Thanks.

@barley_jim sorry that kind of coupler does not sound familier, have you tried some of the commercial brewing websites? Try some of these http://www.fattymattybrewing.com/directory/525....
